The National Festival of One-Actor Theatre MonoFest is one of the most important events that Szwalnia has been creating for years.

The 8th edition will take place on October 24-26, 2025.

This event boasts a distinct brand and rich history, presenting Łódź audiences with artistically diverse one-man theatre performances, selected through a selection process. From the numerous submissions from across Poland, eight one-man plays will be presented in the competition.

MonoFest takes the form of a review, promoting and exploring the phenomenon of monodrama, and also provides a space for conversations in a warm and friendly atmosphere, during which we also learn to talk about theatre without avoiding any issues.

This year's edition will take place on October 24-26 at the Szwalnia Theatre.

The festival jury will include: Monika Badowska (actress), Dobromir Dymecki (actor) and Michał Pabian (playwright, dramatist, screenwriter, literary curator).

 

The Szwalnia Nowa project is being implemented thanks to funding from the budget of the City of Łódź.
